Ok so i am hearing of alot of people buying a new snake, or there first snake and there is something wrong with it and asking everyone for help and having a bad experience, here is a short guide written up by myself of how to avoid buying a snake with health issues, thanks. 1. Check For Any Unusual Diformities Or Lumps On The Snake. 2. Ask to handle the snake before purchasing 3. Make sure it's tongue is flickering regularly 4. When you handle it make sure it has a tightish grip on your arm or whatever it's on. 5. Make sure that it's skin is not saggy or you can see it's ribs, make sure the skin is not loose in any way 6. Make sure it's mouth is fully shut and has nothing that looks unusual around it's face. 7. Have a look for any signs of parasites. 8. Ask for Birthdate of snake, feeding and shedding records, every good breeder or petshop should keep those. 9. Make sure you choose the right snake and give it a good life. I hope this helps anyone or any beginners, Thanks, Matty ![]() |
