They are called 'Borneo Bateaters' simply because that's what some one decided to name them - no other reason.

They are called Bateaters because they eat bats. And are the natural predators of Batman

rofl.. apparently it was a hoax, they crossbred those two breeds and tried to tell the world they had disovered this new breed of snake that ate bats!

lol.. beautiful creatures arent they, nice pic
