If you've not been bitten you've either:

a) not had snakes for very long
b) have very few snakes
c) have snakes that are known for being mild
d) never rehomed a troublesome snake
e) never had a WC snake
c) just been very lucky.

Get 5+ and you're bound to be tagged sooner or later

Not sure I like the "naughty snakey" tag...isn't it more like "silly keeper"? I've been got twice, both times by my MBK...she's not aggressive, but occasionally misses the nicely warmed mouse on the tongs and goes for the next warm, moving thing she claps her beady little heat-sensors on. Never drawn blood (yet, she's still too small to really latch on).

It's not always so black and white. I believe they have character traits and some can be agreesive naturally and some can be nurtured that way. Indeed accidents can happen when a keeper is not paying 100% attention but sooner or later everyone will be bitten by a snke if they do it long enough and see enough varieties of snakes.

I see your point - but I think attaching tags like "naughty" to snakes is a bit off kilter...they don't operate by human standards, after all...we humans just judge them by those parameters. They're always going to operate primarily on inbuilt urges, right?
