who do I contact?

where I live there is a koi pet shop and about six months ago they started selling reps although they have no clue what theyre doing. They had three carpets, one of which I bought and is doing fine but I went there today and the other two look so ill, theyre half the size of my one and theyre heads have become badly deformed with theyre eyes almost falling out!!! (very sad to see them like this). They also have an afrock that is covered in mites that's in a tub next to all the other snakes, what makes this worse is theyre selling it as a royal!!!!!!!!!! Who do I contact to report them? Is it the RSPCA or someone else? Thanks.

why dont you try talking to them first some shops that stock reps dont know how to care from them and im sure they would be happy if you gave them friendly advice

Try talking to them first but if you still feel the need to report them contact the Animal Welfare Officer at the local council.

This seems to happening a lot. Pet shops trying to get on to the reptile "boom" I blame the council for allowing them to extend their licenses to include reptiles with out the proper research and training first.


I like to see reptiles in shops but this sort of thing is bad for our hobby and fuels the flames of the"antis"
