Proteus herpetology course- have you done it?
I am thinking of doing the correspondence one, but because it's the 'foundation' level i was wondering how basic it is. I don't want it to be a load of stuff I already know, and end up paying £140 and find it a waste of time or patronising. Also I have heard stories about them not being very good- not marking your work or letting you know what is going on, apparently coz some guy left. But recently a member has been posting several times that there is a new person now and everything is fine. Is this true? I am more attracted to this course since it is a LOT cheaper than the other one from Compass training- I'll never be able to afford that. It says is it equivalent to GNVQ, is it a decent qualification with a certificate at the end (not one printed off the computer)? I can't believe the money you pay for some of these courses that are just made up qualifications. I've had certificates that if anyone asked to see i'd be embarrassed in case they thought I printed them off myself, there's no proof you did it.
Also it says you need to register with the exam board when you apply,is that price included in the price you pay them? If not how much is it?
