Default Escapee! Help!

My 8 month old corn snake has escaped, we have tipped the house upside down this morning.
Does anyone have any ideas how to catch him?

Don't think i will be able to sleep tonight if i can't find him! Plus we have a dog and 2 cats would they eat him????

try this - http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/snake...-know-how.html
then recheck all of the warm areas of the house - radiators, water pipes etc etc. Good luck!

Will let you know how it goes.

He might venture into the tortoise enclosure 'cos of the heat!
But will check all the warm areas first.

And going to make the viv into fort knox.....

Just asked Rodneyvet.

Apparently if the snake comes into contact with one of my tortoises he could get an infection which could be fatal......

But the snake wont have any bacteria fatal to tortoises.

This is not good. Hope fully find him soon

hows it going has he turned up?

he may not have made his way to a warm place, but he'll have headed for some where small and dark (found ours when she went missing behind a tool box under a fallen fleece in our wardrobe)

start the search nearby work out, how long has he been missing?

don't know what you've done so far but i'd personally limit the dogs and cats to a room (well seperate rooms) away from his escape point just to be safe, may be a lttle mean on them but hopefully it'll only be for a little while. They may hurt him if they find him, i'd imagine that cats definetely would, i think i've heard about a dog actually helping find a snake but it depends on the dog and its not really worth the risk.

hope you've already found him and this is now irrelevant
