Hi all this post was just out of curiosity really, i was just wondering... would you study herpetology if you had the chance? and what do you think it would be like? also, if there is anyone there who does or has studied herpetology i was wondering if you could also give us a little insight to what you do when studying it hope to get some interesting replies

Do you mean at college/uni? Yeah I would love to, if i had the brains to get on to the course! Wasn't much good at science at school and would think you'd need to be!

yea it's something i would like to do too.
my local college does a course in zoo studies, has a whole section of herpetology to it i believe, plus the college keeps reptiles itself, and the course is linked to paignton zoo. only problem is the cost!

can you go to college and study things like herpetology after you've left college? and are there any requirements to study herpetology?... e.g GCSEs in science and stuff. If so... is there any way around this?

if you dont have those, depending on your age there are usually access into adult education courses (which cover these things) or you can do them seperately. depending on your situatoin or what qualifications you do have, sometimes the college will allow you to do those gcse alongside the course u want to do, though this happens rarely.
i will have a dig around and see if i can find out any more for you
