Default Guess who's back, back again!

My Tai beauty thats been loose since the 2nd of Feb turned up last night!

He looks in pretty top condition, just maybe a wee on the slim side but not underweight in any shape or form. I managed to get him in the viv without a bite too which i thought would be a deffinate too! lol

He took a large mouse pretty hard as soon as it was offered and also had his head in the fresh water for about 10 mins.

I've warmed him up slowely over night with a heat mat on low and now this morning gone back to his usual cycle using the lights. Is that ok? This morning he was cruising around and looking happy as ever.

With regards to feeding, for the next few weeks should i maybe feed every 4 days or just carry on with his 5-7 day norm he used to have?

Also, but do snakes shed when not eating because he looks freshely shed?

(dont ask me why it looks like the woods on him because it wasnt? lol)
Words cant express how happy i am to have this fella back.

Yes, he'll carry on shedding - good luck finding that.

Just go back to his normal cycle, heating and feeding.

He'll be fine.

Gorgeous snake

It really does look like that wood is on top of him, how weird!

I'm glad you've found him.

He should be fine now he's had food and drink.

If I were in your shoes, I would not overfeed - it looks like he has not really eaten much during his holiday and you don't want to bloat his stomach. Considering that it takes them 48 hours to digest, I think that feeding every 4-5 days might be too often, personally I would feed next in ten days' time and then bring it to once a week.

Re the vet, you could keep an eye on his water and his "business" for parasites and inspect his body closely once he has digested, but if he seems fine and normally active, there should not be any cause for worry.

You must be really happy, he is a cutey!!!

It's really nice to hear a success story once in a while.

Well done for getting him back.

Can't tell you how many times I've lost some of the smaller snakes when I was younger. They always turned up though, usually in a wardrobe or in the back of a hifi system (?!).

I wonder where he's been hiding, and I wonder if you'll stumble across a load of shed skins at some point?!
