expecting but also unexpected corn eggs dropped
I bred my female corn snake and for quite a while I thought that she may not have been gravid as she did not appear to get any bigger or heavier. This afternoon came to check on snakes to find a batch of eggs layed. Now I know why I was confused, she has quite a girth as it is and layed a small clutch of six eggs so all is well.
Sods law that the day I removed the hide with damp moss as it had dried out and was going to replace it and she went and layed them in her substrate but they seem ok and have them in a box filled with damp vermiculite and perlite.
As a first attempt im quite pleased everything went right as for a while I though I may have not cooled them enough or took them out of cooling too early.
Curious to see what hatches as the male is a butter corn and the female is an anery but she came from a cross of anery and a rat snake (unsure which but hazard a guess great plains)
