No no no.......

Once you have defrosted you can refridgerate for a further 24 hours but NEVER do this if you have heated the mouse in any way.

I wouldn't refreeze a shop-bought rodent at all - you don't know how many times it's thawed out and been refrozen already.

I wouldn't refreeze a rodent that a snake had refused and left in its cage overnight - it'll have more bacteria than I am comfortable feeding to my snakes when it's been thawed the second time.

I might, however, re-freeze a rodent that:

1. I bred, euthanised and froze myself - so I know it has been frozen and thawed out exactly once.
2. That has only been thawed or partially thawed for a very short time - like realising you've counted out more than you needed when you are laying the rodents out because so-and-so is in shed and wouldn't have eaten it after all.
3. The rodent is still cool or better yet cold to the touch.
4. The rodent is a subadult mouse or larger (less likely to burst when it's offered as a food item after being frozen and thawed out again than a pinky is).

But ALL FOUR of those conditions would have to be met before I'd be willing to refreeze at all - and I'm a lot more likely to chuck out "just in case" or feed someone a little bit extra that week instead of trying to save money by refreezing.

Generally when a corn can suck down a pinkie before you can blink its time to up to two pinks and progress from there.
