my royal is really p*ssing me off now, he just wont eat!
he's an 08 and small for his age as it is, he seems interested....but wont strike...and he wont take off the floor as ive tried leaving it in overnight.
tonight he even hissed at the rat!?!
i see him hunting round now and the rats under his nose
he seems to just want to get out of his tub....whats WRONG WITH HIM!!!!

my others virtually snatch it before ive got it in the tub!

Try a hot chick.
Mine didnt eat for 7 months. took 2 in 5 days and is now busy on a big weaner 7 days later.

well snakes can go an awful long time without food, their often just fussy. give it another day or two and then try again, play with the food... drag it along the floor ect ect all the basic things.

he's probably just being a fussy bugger mine does somtimes. and if it continues maybe seek advice from a reptile vet.

It's a royal, it's what they do...don't bother offeringg for 2-4weeks just leave him to get on with it, offer a warm rat in 2-4 weeks and if he turns his nose up leave it another 2-4 weeks.

Keep an eye on weight throughout but there is honestly nothing you can do, if his setups correct then patience is all that's required.

What his set up like? How long hasn't he eaten for?

Alos, how much are you handling him, is he still having a bath once a week, or is this a different snake?

yes his set-up is fine. he sheds fine, was eating fine until recently..
his weight was still going up last time i weighed a few days ago... he's just really frustrating me now

dont handle him much probably once or twice a week, he hasnt eaten for a month.
no this is a different little guy!
and no the other one is not having baths anymore, he sits in his water bowl

There's no point stressing, if everything is fine then continual offering is going to make things worse.

I have an 08 YB, 07 Lesser and 2 more 07's who haven't eaten since oct-dec just because they decided not to, im concerned over one but i can't make her eat, so there's no point doing my crust but the others can just take a running jump tbh i look at them every week or so to check they look okay but sticking my ugly mug in front of them and waving food about doesn't help so i don't bother.
