building a viv. anybody got any good guides or sites with a good guide? thanks

in a couple of months i will be needing a larger viv, 6'x2'x2' so am planning on building one. anybody got any good guides on building a large viv? or any good sites? am guessing as it will be 6' long will need 18mm contiboard over 15mm to prevent sagging. and maybe an extra support in the middle at the front from floor to ceiling maybe? thanks

My bf just built me a stack system using a carcass ikea wardrobe i got off ebay. i bought two of em and they cost me £19.98 for both. Was going to save the second carcass to build a larger vivarium but thought we might as well put it towards the stack ssytem. Its really good and was very cheap

i remember somebody saying they was selling wardrobes without the doors for 10 quid each at Ikea, might pop down and see if they have anything like that left, worth the drive its only down the road lol

You should be ok.

Instead of melanine for the back, I just used a large sheet of ply that I put about 6 coats of varnish onto, and placed a centre support front and back. This one is 3' tall, but I did another one that is almost exactly the same except only 2' tall.
