Default Help Inclusion Body Disease

can people please give me more info on this. My male boa has always been alittle clumsy, never coils around his food and wavers his head alot when we get him out of the viv.
Trouble is we bought him with a female of the same age, we tried to sep them but they would not eat so put them back in together with no problems, he was a fussy eater at the start but has always shown these signs since we bought him and the female is fine.
Please help im worried

As I said before I think you can diagnose via a biopsy...the snake does not need to be dead to do this. Boids often can have genetic flaws that are easily mistaken for IBD.

Only a post mortem is 100%

OP - how long have you had the boa and it been like this?

The only way you can be sure is with a post mortem or taking a tissue sample during a surgery. Before you start really panicing there are other illnesses that can show similar symptoms bacterial infections can i think and meningitis. What are your temps? what is his pooh like? does he regurgitate? I'd seperate them just in case as they can pass it to each other.

sorry i went upstairs to turn him on his back, he rights himself fine.
He does not reg meals, he has always been smaller then the female but still climbs the tree trunk and stuff so not bad muscle tone, he can pull himself up on your finger but does some of that wavering his head while doing it while doing it.
Its as if he cant see though as something has to touch his nose for him to jump, he does not move back when you move towards him, he only strikes when it touches his nose
