Just got my first 'proper' tag!
Ive been bitten a fair few times in my time keeping snakes and its never really hurt at all but I just got properly done by my big boa!
He's a 4 year old suriname and has always been a bit nervy so i'm trying to tame him, never shown any signs of aggression before hes a lovely lad really lol anyway I just stuck my hand in his viv and he got my hard right on the knuckle! few big slices as well as the puncture wounds and it really chuffing hurts! lots of blood  I've learnt my mistake, don't startle dexter in the afternoon, oh and boas are a totally different snake to colubrids and royals lol Jess

it all depends if they get a clean bite on your arm it dnt hurt its when like what happend to you lol they get you on the hand just a few bruises and cuts it soon goes away till the next bite lol also yeh the teeth are a nightmare if they get stuck in you they hurt more than the bite lol. i nearly got bit again yester day got a blood python out the bad and it struck for me and i could feel it touch my mouth and nose but didnt latch on lol so i as lucky

arrghh must of hurt to be fair, any bite makes me jump and i always think it is going to hurt but it never does
