Default Snake skin

Basicly after my snake shed its skin he dont feel right anymore, hes kinda rubbery and his skin always grips to my hands, its hard to explain, its like when he moves through my hands he sorta sticks then jolts forward to move, not major jolts just like little ones, could he be dehidrated? or is this normal , also has a line that goes down his belly, only a faint line i dont know what it is, hes a corn snake, and for thoes who ask alot of questions about housing here it is

29c warm end (heat matt and habistat)

aspen bedding

water bowel in cool end

2 hides one one warm 1 cold

please be nice

I was always under the impression that the heat mat must be at least 31c.

They do feel a little weird for a day after shedding it is the stuff they excrete to loosen the old shed. After they have had a slither about it should all be off and your snake should feel normal again.

My corn always felt "stickier" than my king, I think it's just the way they move/the texture of their scales. He also always felt clammy for longer after his shed than my king does.

I wouldn't worry about this, but definitely don't be shy about asking if you're worried about anything. No such thing as worrying too much about the animals in your charge, as long as it doesn't ruin your enjoyment of them.

I've asked some well daft questions in my time mate, it's just a learning curve
