Default refreezing chicks

Three weeks ago I bought a chick to scent a mouse for my non-feeding 05 Royal, she took the mouse and again the next week without the chick scenting, last week she refused again, but I couldnt scent the mouse with a chick because I gave it to my Boa after using it to scent the first mouse.
I bought one again this week with the mice and shes taken the mouse again, question is can I refreeze the defrosted chick to use again next week or shall I just give it to my Boa again and buy another one next week?

i would not refreeze, no...... it just not worth the risk of it being 'off' for the sake of 20p.

go with new ones

although if you are only scenting, there isnt MUCH chance IMO.

But to save 5p????

personally i would defrost the mouse, then rub it on a frozen chick,. this way ya only have to buy the one chick, or just give ya boa a treat each week,

but to be honest if shes missing a feed every 3-4 weeks then i wouldnt worry, she may be going into shed,

she's not missing every 3-4 weks, she didnt eat from the 5 jan till the 17 april then she fed for two weeks then missed one week and fed again this week, I've chucked it in the bin now anyway(the chick), I'll splash the 15p a week on a fresh chick if need be.

just give them to ya boa. along with a smaller (than usual) rat.

This way, nothing is wasted, and both snakes get a decent, neutritious, meal.

I keep a load of rats in a bag full of chicks just for the finnicky feeders in my group.
