Luckily so far I have not been in this position, however these are my feelings on the subject wonder what everone else's are?
I really really don't like the idea of force feeding, so once all the other tricks were exhausted scenting etc, I would prefer to try live feeding. If that didn't work then TBH I would be inclined to just not feed, probably euthanise would be a better option for than force feeding. Maybe non-feeding hatchlings in the wild are just natures way of weeding out the weak? Please select 2 options in the poll 1 in favour of live or force feeding, and one in favour of euthanising or force feeding.

I agree totally with you bud!
I sooner live feed than force feed! And I also think it's a case of natural selection! Only the strong, with a drive to live will actually live! ![]() Matt

I wouldn't until it was at a point where nothing (except force feeding) had worked and it was obviously weak and on the verge of suffering, I am not talking about missing 1/2 a dozen feeds.

I lost a baby royal that wouldn't feed. I wish I'd tried live feeding. I have never force fed and would rather not.
If a snake isn't going to eat it won't in my opinion. It's natural selection as has been said already, harsh but true. My very first snake was a corn hatchling that wouldn't eat. It took me six months of just putting food in before it started eating. I hadn't got a clue what I was doing, but I just persevered. I still have the snake now, 7 years on.
