I'll second this. After spraying the viv.dead mites could be seen within a few seconds.
It's the same chemical which airlines spray passenger planes with, and which passengers breath in.

When you buy the spray it comes with instructions, but very easy, remove snake and water from viv, then spray viv for a few second more for bigger vivs, after 15min return snakes then after 24 hours replace water. 2 days later remove substrate and destroy, then repeat in 7 days, and a third time if necessary.

Question Hypoaspis

I have a question on the Hypoaspis mites being used in treatment. During a treatment using these mites do you avoid soaking the snakes? Just wondering cause it would seem they too would be drowned but the soaking helps the little guys fall off and the snakes need it. So maybe that is the reason in part for reintroducing every day or every other day a new batch of the Hypoaspis mites.

thanks in advance

A quick question re Provent-a-mite as I have just ordered a can of it.

I assume you can spray the viv furniture with it too (hides, greenery etc). I plan on emptying the viv and replacing the kitchen roll with fresh or plain printer paper and then spraying with PAM (obviousley with Snake and water bowl in a different room)

How long does it take to dry before you can return the snake to the viv?

if your snakes doesnt have mites would it be a good idea spraying the enclosure anyway to make sure you dont get them with a mite treatment?

cheers
