if you can add a little list of different ways you have tried to get it to feed then it would help, jsut inc ase you have missed something

I tried so many different ways before I finally hit a way of doing it and now he eats everytime without fail so far!!!

All I did was defrost the rat, heat the head up more, then poke the head into his hide and leave him there, within 5mins its gone!

Since I dont know fully...Have you tried what I did as said above?

I used to remove his hide and tease him, then 1 day, after 3 months of not eating, I left him in his hide, warmed the head of the mouse up more than the rest, using the heat lamp, then left it, head 1st in the entrance of the hide

Also, if oyu have only just got your Royal then it will probably not eat for a couple of weeks anyway

If it carries on then I think you eithe rhave a problem feeder, or there is summin maybe not right about the husbandry or the tank size

yeah she is always full on good info!

another one is a gerbil, but dont make a habit of it as I have heard they can be addictive, and of no nutritional value compared to rats or mice so not the best staple diet!

Try moving the royal into a 50L Really Useful Tub.

Royals do not like open space and you may find that it feels a 3ft viv is too much space, some do.
