First one looks like a jungle you'd more likely find in the wild in Aus... ( or a NG..lol )...it does has beautiful silver eyes though

Second one...wtf?...motley coastal?..looks like its from a stripe pairing

For my 7 month old Irian Jaya I use a substrate called 'Chipsi Bark' or something like that. It's small squares of wood, easy to spot clean the viv. I used Orchid bark at first but it dried up quickly, even though I heard it was meant to retain moisture for humidity.
I don't keep the viv too humid though, unless my carpet is in shed.

Ok i have a question
I have a heat mat (14w) for a 2x1x1.5 viv. I was told to put it on the side with a stat. Will this be enough of a hot spot? Or should I add a light during the day (not enough space for CHE and it's in my room)
Also where should I put the stat probe? Actually touching the mat or close but not touching?

what are you keeping in that size viv? Buy a decent sized viv and put a ceramic in it would be my advice.

only my opinion but whats the point in buying a viv that will only last 6 months? Put it in a 3 x 2 x 2 that will prob last it 18 months at least.

Yeah I do agree but I got given the viv by a mate so was hoping to use it for a few months while I'm in my current house then move it up to a bigger viv in sept when I move to my new house
