this an ikea tub (a partitioned one), the botom is quite thick and concave, tubs with concave bottoms can be good, or bad depending what ur after, the gap allows warm air to travel along under the box, this may tweak ur gradient if ur after a big difference

now this is the thermometer (i think i forgot how to spell thermometer..?) probe, its fixed above where the pad below is, this is where i get my temps, the probe is waaaay below and the scale on the thermostat is a guide and nothing more

box removed, shelf with the pad placed back left (id prefer it to be 18x12 but i only have 24x11, (i asked for anyone wanting to trade 23's for 17's but no one took me up on it ) the white is micropore tape i like it becuase it doesnt leave gum when removed, cleaning gum from a pad is such a pain in the ass, the pad exits at the back and the thermostat probe enters
