Question Hatchling Corn snake, overpriced?

I saw a tiny Amel corn snake hatchling yesterday whilst out shopping, when I asked for the price they quoted me £89.99. Sorry if this is a rhetorical question but does this sound overpriced?

I would be surprised if anyone paid more than £25 for an amel corn.
Shops have to pay their bills though.

If it was at a rep shop, that's about the norm in most of them but for regular standards that's ridiculously over-priced.

Yeah very overpriced for people 'in the know' but for shops that's about normal... the shop has overheads and the upkeep of the animals to pay. People who just buy a snake on a sort of whim will pay the price as they'd assume it's reasonable.

I paid £65 for a Normal het for ghost. How do you think I feel.
Most shops slap on VAT and what not, so it's typical price for an amel.

Yes, it was a standard run-of-the-mill pet shop. I don't want to give the name however. I even asked if the price included the set up (which happened to be a small plastic tub with a water bowl) and they said no.
