Do any of you keep record books for your snakes?

None of mine can read

I have a file that contains a section for monitoring (also accounts, paperwork, invoices)
My sheets are for the month and has the date down the left and the snakes name/id across the top. I then mark down feeding, sheding, mating behaviour etc.

always good to keep permanent records so if you decide to sell.....the buyer can see what sort of snake they are getting (good or bad feeder for instance)

I have one book for all my reptiles and inverts. I document Snake feedings, sheds and shed cycles, any treatments, when new stock comes in or goes out, and I also document things like Monitor feeding regimes, animal weights and behavioural observations. When an animal is sold, I compile all the data for that animal onto a table, and print it off, so the new owner has a good idea of the animals history. And finally, record wise, I have laminated information cards on every single animal I have, detailing Trade name, species name, origin, habitat, sex, behaviour and activity patterns. These took me ages, but I was on a labelling mission for the DWAL, and got carried away.

I keep electronic records using a program called one note. Very handy, so buyers can have loads of history if they want but I tend not to include all the feeds and sheds otherwise with some they could end up going away with a small book but do print a sheet for any snake sold that states DOB/age, sex, morph, who bred them if known, cb,cf,ltc,wc, plus notes on feeding and temperament, quirks, and any extra info. And for anyone I think could be a newby it gets stapled to a good care sheet. Plus even though I am a hobby breeder I do photo het paperwork for royals and give each sale a reference number just so if anyone ever asks about a snake that I had sold in the past I have all the info.
Sometimes I feel a bit OCD about the way I do things but then I look at a ralph davies video on youtube and makes me feel like the normal again.
