why do people get so worked up over pictures. I remember one recently where everyone was calling some poor bloke out because his snake was never x length. He then shows it with a viv for scale and people say the viv wasnt the 8ft being claimed. He then has to lie in the viv holding a tape measure to prove the length of the viv. lol. Is it me or is there only half a snake in that picture. Even if i cared how long it was i wouldnt stake my mortgage on that pic. Cheers for the great read anyway i love these threads

Women get pregnant and the baby takes nutrients, food and other important stuff from the mother. The more babies they have the more brain cells they part with.. As us blokes don't get pregnant we keep all our brains.

Hahaha!

Don't get me wrong, picking them up initially without getting a good neck hold is purest suicide for any of us I find though that they behave like pussycats almost immediately after, but I've always had the same with ATBs and ridiculous things like Nerodia sps!

Just be brave with them and go for it , nothing quite like giving the slightly less tolerant one a bath after she sits in a pile of slugs and slime tho... lol

Cheers Andy,

Lotte***

If some one posts a pic of a large boa saying "look at my big boa isn't she beautiful" then everyone of us would almost certainly agree and post nothing but 'beautiful boa' or 'she's a whopper' etc....

..however, when someone posts a thread that is clearly meant to be a "look how high up the wall I can p*ss 'cos I've got an X big snake"post thinnly veiled in a 'look at my nice snake' disguise hoping that everyone will blow smoke up their arse, then clearly we will question what we see.

If you state a size that is bigger than any known/confirmed specimen in recent memory then you have to expect to be questioned.

If I remember rightly with the post you are refering to, it actually proved that the snake was smaller than he originally estimated (but not as small as it originally looked on the initial pic he posted.

Cheers

Andy
