Default building a viv

i am looking into building a new viv to house my boa in.i know all the ins and outs of making things with wood so i would just like to ask what the best wood would be to use so that it doesnt warp with the humidity!!

marine ply wood, it can also be treated with yacht varnish if you please, this will give a water tight finish and it comes in various wood stain colours

and is this said varnish non toxic to snakes??
im a bit of a n00b!!

Depends how much money you have and stuff.....i made mine out of moisture resistant MDF and coated with yacht varnish

it will be okay as long as you make sure you fully air the tank out before putting anything in it

depends how much your willing to spend and how big you want it.

contiboard would be a good option and is available in 8' x 4' sheets at b and q for around £25 a sheet

moisture resistant MDF is £17.50 for an 8x4 sheet but you would need to get it from a timber place....plus then they will cut it to whatever sizes you need ^_^
