Default Royal future breeding advice on chosen morph please

Ok we have argued and discussed between ourselves (me and the OH) about what morph we wanted to go into and the resounding answer seems to be the elusive piebald.

Any advice on obtaining the right animals and how long are we looking at realistically before we produce our own.

Now we are not looking at instant results we are looking for a long term project

So any advice anyone can give us as to where to start would be great.

Many thanks in advance.

Could get a visual and a het or a pair of hets or (if you are in the money) a pair of pieds and within 2/3 years have your very own pieds.
Your choice really, I'd go with a het and a visual, that way you'll theoretically het 50% visual pieds and 50% normal looking animals in future breeding, the normals would of course also be het pieds so, you'd be able to keep whatever one you wanted back for future breeding.
Plus, you'd have a visual pied from the off and that would be the cheapest & fastest way to produce your own pieds in the future.

you could of course get a visual, breed to a normal for hets & keep some hets back, but that would be approximately 6 years from 09 pied to your visual pied hatchling

Long term project:

Get a pair or trio of 100% het Pied babies from a reputable breeder (or two - male from one, female(s) from the other).

Then you'd be able to produce in the first generation (with luck).
