My new baby royal is awake and out and about throughout the morning and day, and seemingly sleeps at night (though obviously she may come out when I'm asleep, but that would mean she's awake for 20 hours of the day). Is this a problem? Does it mean that she's happy and active, exploring her surroundings, or that perhaps she isn't so happy for some reason?

hi
if you have just put it in a new viv,the chances are its just settling in. my corn is very active through the day time in the summer months, and seems to sleep at night.in the winter i hardly see him in the day time, even tho all the temps are the same. i wouldnt worry if its eating and acting normal ![]() |

I'm not really sure what "acting normal" is tbh, it's my first snake.
She hasn't eaten with me yet (had her for 2 weeks) - seems interested, but doesn't go any further than smelling it out. I assumed if she was stressed she'd be hiding rather than being out?
