Very rare to eat if laying but not unheard off. When did she last shed which would have been her pre lay shed?? Your just a wee bit far away from me to come see in person.

When they get close to the time they do tend to just plonk themselves in one moist place and stay there. Give her a couple of days and she should either start going into shed or actually just lay depending on what stage she is at. Might be worth giving the previous owner a quick buzz and asking when and if she has had her pre lay and most people wouldnt usually sell after the pre lay shed but you never know.
