At least you sound like your on the mend though...glad you kept the hand and feeling abit better than before.

have you ever through about doing a youtube show on rear fangs...like you dispel myths of them by being bite by a different one each week? just do the boomslang on the last week

Great thread...(when on topic).

Hopefully the information you have provided for the bite of a hatchling will help people to make informed choices.

Every year I get people enquiring about FWC's. I always tell them straight, they are large powerful snakes that can be difficult to handle. Some animals are placid some are just nutters! (I have both). Add to that they are rearfangs then the potential for a bad bite exists, especially if you do not treat them with respect.

Some people have taken offence at my insistence that they know what they are getting. I would rather have someone offended, than them take a serious bite from an animal they were not prepared for.

Tempting as that sounds, I'm growing quite fond of having two regular sized hands.
