Oh my godness! Where was he bought from?

Are you going to have an autopsy done? You really should if he was showing these symptoms to PROVE it was IBD.

RIP wee man...

he was brought in a shop in birmingham! dont want to name them as they are good people! I was going to get a post mortem on him but he is my 4year olds, and he has recently lost his baby brother and his pet iguana so another death being dragged out is too hard for him to deal with! I ve let the shop know so they can make the right provisions for the other royals that were from the same breeder and in the same vivarium. I wanted a post mortem on the lil man but my son wanted to bury him and im sorry but my son doesnt need no more stress going on in his life at the moment! And the snake deserved a decent send off with out being probed and prodded!!

Ok im not 100% but 99% i ve looked into other than a neurological problem that would have potentially showed itself earlier...nothing else has all the symptoms i ve spoke to thevets over the phone who thinks the same!! Like i said Frankie is buried...purely for the sanity of my little boy....you make think its wrong of me, but my boys mental health at this time is very important to me!! His baby brother has had to have a PM and thats why we could nt bury him for 3weeks after he died...that affected my son enough...im sorry if you disagree with me! but im doing my best

I am sorry to hear about your recent losses. All that in one go must be hard to deal with.

I know you were thinking of your son when not getting the PM done, and that is perfectly understandable.

However please remember for the future that to help prevent the spread of these diseases you need to get post mortems done and show the person you bought from. I wouldn't be surprised if the shop said you were lying because of the type of alligation that is. That could ruin their entire business. If you had the post mortem you could show people and say here, I'm NOT lying and these people are selling animals (perhaps not knowingly) who have IBD.

It's a horrific disease, and I am so sorry you too have had to go through it. Do you have anymore boas or pythons? Are you going to buy anymore in the near future?

Could I do this on a longterm basis by changing the bit of paper every 6 weeks?

Good thread btw, I'm just sorry for what you have had to go through for it to be written
