Default Handling your snakes..

Does anybody not handle some of their snakes?
I have a corn snake and a JCP, and I handle my corn snake daily,
but I used to handle the JCP daily, until I got his new viv done and he stays up on the branch ALL THE TIME and never comes down to hide or to do anything else unless it's at like 2am, which is when I don't wanna hold him. So is it bad if he doesn't get more freedom outside of the viv?

I don't handle my snake often. About 2-3 times a week at most and I dont handle my snake at all the week he feeds.

Not necessarily. My snake was hardly handled the first 2-3 years of his life and he has always been tame as a puppy.

I had corn, she didn't get handled at all for the first year and was fine when I started handling it. First time she got handled she was a bit skittish but fine, she's nearly 2 now and is still a little funny coming out the cage but has never ever struck, only rattled. Maybe i was lucky though

:o Kal has never struck at me in like the.. 2-3 months I've had him
But he always looks nice and never interferes or bothers with me changing water and he eats happily and he looks happy and stuff, so I don't think he'd be that nasty.
Side note: Does anyone ever think that their snake actually looks happy?

I would keep handling the jcp to be honest, just take him off the perch, thats what i had to keep doing with mine, didnt like it at first but soon tamed down

It's deadly to uncoil him from his branch though.

It can usually be done quite easily with a little persuasion. Better to keep handling now than to risk an unhandleable adult carpet I would have thought.
