Excellent well done. That was a good job.
But lets not forget that if a snake cannot even shed the skin covering its eyes properly there may be some underlying health care isues that a vet may need to diagnose ,or just the fact that you are keeping the snake in the wrong conditions.

thanks, although its not that common to be honest with having internal problems that relate to slough problems...generally its just bad sheds and lack of humidty

My brazilian rainbow boas eyes are really dull, dry and hard looking/feeling.
when shes not sheding they're kind of opaque, but when getting ready to shed they go more of a brownish colour. She had scale rot and was in a rapid shed cycle just there and was on paper for the obvious reasons, but is back on bark now.its been like this for the last 2 sheds and eye caps definatley came off but its like this underneath... the eyecaps that came off recently are harder and seem thicker and are the brown colour, maybe more than one layer coming off? And would the viscotears liquid work on this?

anychance you could help based on what i've said?

without seeing photos or knowing deffiently what you have i cant really suggest what to do...as if shes suffered from scale rot recently and its a bacterial eye infection then removing these "brown coloured eyecaps" could be more harmful to her

the brown layer looks like hardened puss. i would most certainly have that checked out by a vet....treating it your self could lead to much worse.

my fat tail gecko retains shed round its face up to its eyes
i get rid of it but takes forever coz i hav to gently pour water over it
would this viscatear stuff work for it do u think?

and the skin gets stuck from behind eyes to end of nose, very scary but nothing else i do hass worked, spraying, moss, rough bark even a larger dish of water to increase humidity
just have to keep tryin i guess lol

My little boa had a bad shed recently, and the eye caps plus most of the shed on the head have been retained, So was just wondering if this method could be effective in the removal of other shed, as the eye cap is essentially a transparent scale?
