I would. My royal had several caps retained and I did three or four applications to no avail. He then went into shed a few weeks later and pleased to say that all caps came off and he has nice clear eyes.

Fantastic advise WW, followed it to the letter when my BRB had retained eye-caps and end result achieved.

Thankyou for that, awesome advise.

I have used the tape trick with success on several juvies with minor shedding problems. Only I first applied mineral oil with a q-tip. Placed the snake in a humid container for several hours. If it still looked like it was a sticker I then soaked and sometimes repeated sometimes not the mineral oil and then usually just a light tap with the tap and it slides right off? I have never heard of the aquatear or whatever it was called. UK always has better stuff than us! But maybe we do have it? I am not sure? Is it an expensive product and what is the shelf life like on it?

you can get it in the states yes....its a carbomer liquid gel, so if you ask at your chemist/drug store they will be able to help you.
only about £4 over here and lasts a few years
