Default Humidity

Hi.

I have read that royals enjoy up to 60% humidity.

Whats the best way to keep the humidity up?

Cheers
John

I wouldn't keep a royal permanently at that humidity, generally room humidity is fine, just up it when they comne into shed.

We use a small humidifier, set at 55%.

It hardly ever needs to come on and all the snakes shed fine.

The larger the area of water = higher humidity. So to increase humidity put larger water bowls in the enclosure.

Normal room humidity is fine.

When they're coming to shed I spray with warm water once a day.

The recomended humidity is anything from 50% to 60% but most rooms are around that humidity anyway. As said above a bigger water bowl will help to higher it and so will a light spray now and again. When shedding though i put the humidity up slightly.

the air in the uk is like 30-40 normally i think
so with their water bowl it should be enough anyway..

just spray them once a day at shedding time.
