My corn gets grumpy, apparently sight is limited before a shed (although not 100% sure if it's just while blue).

Mine will also happily snaffle his dinner no matter what, but he is a proper greedy bugger

I make sure I increase the humidity a tad (nothing measured) by sprinkling a little water, or providing a damp something or other to curl up in (was an old pair of pants before!!!!) just to aid shedding - I literally ran them under the tap, squeezed out excess and put it in the warm end and he could sit in it if he wanted.

I have had a bad shed, but he last one a few days ago was puuuuuurfect And he did eat before hand.

When in shed the best thing to do is leave them to it. I tend not to feed or handle them during this time as their eyesight is impared and they seem more sensitive to physical stimulus.

The cycle should start with the skin going a bit cloudy, then the eyes. Once the eyes have cleared up again you will know that the shed is due in the next day or two.

A moist hide may be a good idea, although my kingsnakes shed absolutely perfectly every time with no extra humidity. Corns should be the same.

I don't feed if I notice them coming up to shed, but others do.

thanks guys, i'll offer her some dinner but if she not interested i'll take it away. i dont like the thought of not trying. but i'll leave her alone apart from that.

mine has red eyes do they still go cloudy. sorry for being so thick but this is her first shed since i got her. she had sheds before i got her though so i know she'll be fine.

thanks for your help
