Brill thread... I know it's a bit old now, was having a quick read before I go branch hunting tomorrow for the new viv, and spotted that ^

Can I just ask, what do you mean by putty? I mean, what kind of thing?

Don't fancy doing any more harm than I need to if it comes to lopping off some branches.... especially not killing the tree.

basically you can get water based wood putty, you often see ray mears using it in hos shows to cover up tree wounds from which he has cut a branch off...this acts as a barrier to fungal infections penetrating the tree

Great thread im going to look for some braches tomorrow can anyone tell me if Oak is ok i find it the easiest thing to find lol.
