Default Ahhhhh... Dumbest thing you've done

Ok, today i have just done one of the dumbest things i've done in snake keeping.

I took the lid off my hatchling royals RUB to let out some humidity, then went to work leaving the lid off I just ran home to find him sleeping in his cool hide, right where i left him. PHEW! Normally he's out like a shot at the first sign of taking the RUB's lid off, can't believe my luck!

Have any of you done anything as stupid??

Fell asleep once whilst handling one of my royals. She went on a little adventure for 3 days! Found her poking her head out of one of the saucepans in the kitchen cupboard.

I was at work, just said to my boss that i'd be back in 10 minutes if the snake is in the RUB, and if he's gone for a wonder then i'll be back when I've found him. He said that was fine, but i don't think he realised that i could have been gone for months

Fed my biggest royal ( Fatty ) in the lounge one night, on the cow hide rug next to the coffee table. She struck at the rat.....missed it and gripped onto the rug !
With the feel of hair inside her mouth she desided to follow the usual protocol and starter constricting the 8 ft x 6 ft dead cow !!

quality! made me chuckle.

I left the lid off my BRB tank all night once, wife NOT happy when she found it in the morning. Saying that, he hadn't moved so no worries.
