Default ceramic heater for a 8ftx3ftx3ft viv?

I have an 8ft x 3ft x 3ft viv currently being heated by spot bulbs. i have boas and have heard they dont like the light so want to change over to ceramics! what wattage would i need to get the required temp and also can they be mounted directly to the roof of the viv as 3ft is a fair height and worrying it wont heat down to the floor.any help greatly appreciated.id like t hear what set ups all you boa owners have

8x3x3 would be more suitable for an 18 ft Retic / Burm IMO... Remember that heat rises so if you have the heater lower down in the cage (with a guard of course!) then you will be heating the viv floor more efficiently and the excess heat will circulate on the upper levels of the viv.

i had two boas in my viv aswell but as with many snake the larger the space the more stressed they get i made mine into a 6x3x3 and that should be plenty of space but its up to you just make sure you pack yous full of hides loggs things that will make them feel more comfortable

best things i was ever told snakes a clutter junkies the more crap they have the happier they are

thats all good then i've found if they can barely move with going inot or on something boas are happy i left a large open section in the back for them to stretch out and the never used it the prefered to sqeesh into the smallest space possible

IMO that would be too much i think you'd be better off using a 250watt postion in the middle but more to the hot side if you get me and a basking light. ceramics are killers of humidity i ended up having to install a fogger to get the humidity right other wise my boas didnt shed correctly but its up to you

this is jordans viv now (lost my female) its a 6x3x3 the blue tube is the fogger outlet

if i tryed to keep the humidity up maunal i was empting 2 500ml spray bottle and only getting to 30% humidity and he wouldnt shed

any more Q just PM if you want
