Default a sigh of relief

as some of you might be aware i purchasesd my first royal (charlie) on saterday, and after a traumatic experience getting his house set up and the heat issues stabilised, i have found myself at feeding time. i feed the two corns with no probs (they have always been good feeders), it was the turn of charlie. i defrosted the mouse and heated it up with the hair drier, i entered his domain with dinner in hand not knowing what to expect from his first feed with us. he gave a little taste steped back a bit as if he wasnt sure and whammmm! the mouse was ripped out my hand and was getting crushed before my eyes. i decided to leave him to it after all i dont like peeps staring when i am eating. i closed the tank and turned the room light out and left him alone. i went back about ten mins later and he was still giving the mouse a huge cuddle (is this normal?). i left him again and weht back in another 10 min and he had just started to swallow . i can relax now as he is in his wee cave with a fat belly!!

can anyont tell me how much i would be looking to pay for a spider or a jungle or a pastle morph? as i have now got the royal bug.

My royals always seem to constrict for much longer than my corns before they swallow the item.

The corn snake (Elaphe guttata), or red rat snake, is a North American species of rat snake that subdue their small prey with constriction
