Default retic locality identification

I have been wondering if different localitys of reticulated pythons have a different scale count so last night whilst round at a friends i got on to the subject and decided to take a pictures of a dwarf and a mainland's dorsal head shots to try to get a scale count and compare the snakes to my amaizment they differed hugely especialy on the frontal scales, wich made me think about this more. i have searched the internet and cant find much info about this. after speaking to a few other people interested in retics i thought it would be a good idea to create a thread about this.

I am going to put some pictures up of a retic from the island of borneo the pictures are not mine but im sure my friend wont mind me using them. one picture is in profile and the other dorsal

i was wondering weather others would kindly put pictures up of snakes of a known locality if possible and then almost try to build up almost a portfolio of locality retics and compare the differencs if any, and try to build knowlage about locality retics

i will also add more pics of my retics as soon as i have quality pics

borneo locality reticulated python

This may be of help to you, i dont think head scalation is different enough in localities to tell but as it says here probably helps define between subspecies

interesting. stew sent me the link to that site the otherday and i have to say i dident see that page lol.

however this backs up my findings from the photos we took the other night (waiting for them to be emaild to me) its interesting how the internasal scales vary greatly in size and the fronteral scales are either solid or split. wich is what i found with the two retics i was comparing.

cheers

great pic stew this shows exactly what i am talking about if you count the supralabials from the large one one under the eye i count 6 on the borneo and 5 on the jampea total count borneo 14-15 jampea 11-12

also i cant quite tell but it looks like the borneo has an extra heat pit (or the last one on the jamp is tiny lol)
