Thanks folks for the piccies (gorgeous PRB!)

All suggestions of a slightly different (but similar care needs) to a corn much appreciated. I wouldn't want anything much bigger than 5-6ft max, preferably smaller. Easy to handle would be good too. And non-venemous

I like the looks of...milk snakes, house snakes, trinket snakes and am still looking - but obviously looks aren't the important thing, it's care needs.

kingsnakes are similar to corns in care and size but need slightly warmer heat spots, rainbow boas only get to 5-6 foot max but are thicker than corns and have more heat/humidity needs as well as being semi arboreal, all these can be kept in rubs I believe hog noses are smaller than corns, not sure if they're rear fanged though, I know other people will have other suggestions

Sorry to bump this thread. I have looked around for larger storage boxes. Anyone know where I could get one of these?

Really glad you like the set up, she's enjoying it too (very active tonight!).
Opps, I must have picked up baby rats instead, I did think it looked different but he ate it all the same.

So how do you breed for a certain marking within a rat? i know how to make ball python morphs but i wouldnt know where to start with rat morphs lol

glad you enjoyed the vid & hope your little snake is doing well, I love corn snakes they are so tame unlike retics which can be hard work

all the best

Hi Lisa,

Here are my set ups, Corns on the bottom, Royal on the top. They are 12L RUBs i have them in. Corn's are lovely but my Royal is the best . Ignore my Royal's warm end temp, realised the RUB was sitting on the stat probe so wasn't getting all the heat (now sorted & temps upto 32 degrees C).
