Default Cross species communal setup ?

Might sound like a stupid question, but can you put two different species together with the same sex together ?

We were kind talking about my two king snakes here (one is a cali king the other a mexican black) and one guy brought up an interesting question, what would happen if you put both together ?!? Both males I think ...

Can they even live together ?

(no flame war here please as I don't intend to do it, just interested in what would happend)

I would not keep kingsnakes of any breed together unless always supervised as breeding is. What would happen? Early meal time is probably what would happen.

ok firstly non communal snakes should be kept together, even if there the same speices apart from breeding...different speices certainly should

espcailly with king snakes...as they are well known for being greedy

so im guessing you want to try the kingsnake vanishing act!

right gona be serious now, king snakes are kinda well know for trying to eat EVERYTHING i do belive primalurges even had his jumper attacked by his king.
so in a sentance, no you can not keep two kings together no matter what they are unless for freeding you end up one snake short and another rather fat looking king

Housing Kings together is a BIG no no... They are called 'king snakes' because they dominate other snakes... By eating them! Even young rattlesnakes! And yes, they do like to bite first and ask questions later... Not worth the risk IMHO
