Hi
you seem to be doing well to me mate. My advice would be
1) get the heat mat under the tank and turn the lamp off. Wait til it's bigger, too big to get thru the guard before you use it.
2) Personally I would stick to wood chip or kitchen towels (less attractive I know but a lot easier to keep clean) IMO aspen is not a good choice - it gets very dusty and easily ingested - I know you aren't feeding in there but the dusty and spikey bits get everywhere.
3) You can keep your corn in that tank for a good couple of years at least I would say - a 4 foot viv isn't really neccesary for an adult corn.
4) Is there ventilation in the lid? Can't see from the pics - sure you have thought of this, just checking though.
5) Give him 3 days after feeding before handling - personally I wait until I see that they have pooped before handling as it really does stink bad!
6) keep asking questions and don't worry - everyone keeps learning all the time.
7) Personally I would put some kind of background around the back and sides to give it a bit more privacy - doesn't have to be special viv stuff - I have a glass tank and the background is on the outside (a couple of posters of Frank Lloyd architecture that came free in The Guardian a few years back and it looks cool and gives it some depth and is a bit different from the normal desert/tropical themes)

Anything else you want to know ask on the forum or you can pm me or others. Welcome to the wonderful world of snakes - this time next year you'll probably be upto double figures!!

1 every 5 days should be fine - if he wants more he maybe could be moved upto a fluff or crawler - my 09 amel motley corn takes fluffs or crawlers every 7 days

HAHA, let her handle him first, then he can poo on you!! Only fair

I would feed a 5 month old, 2 pinkies every 5 days, and move him up on to 1 fluff every 5 days as soon as he can take them, remember,1- 1 & 1/2 times the widest part of body as size guide.
Who ever told you to feed every two days was wrong
