Its not just us smokers that are harmful!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't use aftershaves/deoderants in the rep room either. refuse to spray anything in there that has the slightest chance of doing them any harm!

Lovely ... the anti-smoking fashism commences.

I chose not to buy into the hype of smoking .... swine flu vaccine ... etc. For every paper you find on one side ... you will find an opposite.

I did mention the part about RI ... you're selectively reading now.

At the same time, in my living room there is enough space for the smoke to transit ... as well as fresh air ... I would doubt that 10% as you may say reaches my animals ... A quick guess (considering the ventilated room, placement of the vivs in relation to where I smoke) would be closer to a statistical 0.

If no-one smoked 6 people out of a million would still get lung cancer ... you can say the same for other smoking attributed ailments.

My childhood asthma was definately dust mites. Can we have a dust mite ban please (and horses too ... I'm allergic).

Oh my poor family ... that's quite funny that ... I respect their wishes (ie smoking outside their home - where appropriate). At home I share my space with my girlfriend (also a smoker). Again - our flat is well ventilated.

Opinions are just that ... hype and following bandwagons are another ... judge me for my actions if you wish.

I don't see any reason to smoke in my animal room, which is also my bedroom.

When you've spent several thousands of pounds on reptiles and inverts, let alone the amount of tome spent making sure they are happy and healthy, why would you want to smoke near them?

It would just undo the good work you had been doing feeding / watering / cleaning....

Very good point, especially ref the perfume.

I gave an unwanted adult normal male regius to a friend with a Reptile shop in Dumfries a few months ago. He was very tame and was always the snake that was taken out for newcomers to hold and feel. One day a Lady that was holding him sprayed some perfume on herself from an atomiser. Within 24 hrs the snake had died.
