Ive traveled up and down the country with snakes and never ever had a problem i either put them in a tub with a towel or in a snake bag on the passenger seat with the heating on. Im on for passing out in there but the snakes happy.
It will be fine just get it in its pre setup enclosure and leave it a few days.

I tend to use either a rub or poly box with lots of crumpled newspaper in it to make a support cushion then a pillowcase or another tub inside depending on the snake. Anything over 3ft then pillowcase, under that it depends on the chunkiness, as a royal hatchling or anytype of very young slim bodied snake I prefer to put in another smaller tub with some kitchen roll or aspen. Dont bother with additional heat unless they have to go in the boot but in the main car then the heaters should be fine.

thank u to everyone who replied.
Oaklem i like your idea of amking a cushion type thing,
I have always relied on the heaters in my car but i havemt travelled that far with a snake before and would rather be safe than sorry

STReptiles, that roundabout is so like me trying to give directiins, its uncanny haha

Graham.
This!

Unless it's a particularly delicate species, I can't see any problem.
