Default Travelling with a snake

Hi, im due to make a trip to collect a gorgeous snake and the journey back home is approximatly 120 miles give or take and im wondering, what is the best way to move the snake?

I have plastic tubs various sizes, or do i use a pillow case to reduce stress and then place thta in a plastic tub for security, or would a polybox be better?

And what about heating, i have fantastic heaters in my car so i can sustain a good heat or would a hotwater bottle outside the tub be better so the snakeys would harm himself on it, or would something like those heat packs you can get that you tsick on you rbody be better-although im not sure how warm they get?

I need some words of wisdom

personally i'd put a jumper or pillow case etc in the tub. quite tight fitting so it doesn't get shaken about.x

You can buy special heat packs for transporting reptiles and tropical fish, thats if you want to spend the money.

Don't worry about the cold in a car over 120 miles. A few hours slightly cooled will not harm your snake, a couple of hours on a hot water bottle that's too hot could kill it.

I once travel with a black rat snake from nottingham to bristol. I used a pillow case, and I wrap my jacket around the case to keep it dark and "warmer". It turn out ok, but next time I think I will place the pillow case in a box or some sort.

All I ever do is chuck them in a bag, in a small plastic tub. As long as the heaters in the car are on full whack it'll be fine.
