See that's quite nice as well!

I've wanted some naturals for ages, but never got around to going stealing any from the wild!

What's the law on morphs/subspecies?

I mean it's fairly obvious that the pied hasn't come from the wild, but are you allowed to breed and sell silvers in this coutry or do all morph/subspecies fall under the same protection?

As far as I am aware it remains illegal to buy, sell or trade unless you can prove its cb regardless of morph/colour

I thought that would be the case, as there is no exceptions made in the law.

Although I appreciate the reasons why the law is there, I always wonder why there isn't a system such as the article 10, to cover morphs/subspecies and captive breds. I sure there would be a few unscrupulous folks who would exploit this, as there is with the article 10's.

Maybe it's best as it is! Always seems strange though that you can buy snakes from all over the world, but not out own native species!

I read that recently somewhere about South Africa I think! To be fair, given the choice between me owning one and keeping healthy populations in the wild I'd leave them in the wild, which is probably why I haven't snaffled one for myself yet! I'd rather buy a CB!
