Default Snake book recommendations?

Hi, I'm hoping to add some snake books to my book collection and wondered if anyone could suggest some titles that might be good references. I already have a copy of Rat Snakes a Hobbyists Guide to Elaphe and Kin by Ray Staszko and Jerry G. Walls (pick up in a charity shop). Very interesting book although I believe the genus has been re classified?

Although I get a lot of info from the net I am also a fan of curling up with a good book, and reading about snakes and their care would be great. Also is there anything written about snake genetics?

If you looks on the last page of the current Bob clark thread there is a reference made by WLW on a good book.

It depends what your into really. Alot of the books i have arent husbandry books as they snakes i keep arent really known for being kept in captivity so i read up on the native side of them

but a few books i personally reckonmend are

Boas and Pythons of the World: Amazon.co.uk: Mark O'Shea: Books

Reptile Medicine and Surgery: Amazon.co.uk: Douglas R. Mader MS DVM: Books

Pythons of the World: Australia: 1: Amazon.co.uk: David Barker: Books

Boas and Pythons Breeding and Care: Amazon.co.uk: Erik D. Stoops, Annette T. Wright: Books

The Deadly World of Bugs, Snakes, Spiders, Crocodiles and Hundreds of Other Amazing Reptiles and Insects: Discover the Amazing World of Reptiles and ... Wildlife Photographs and Illustrations: Amazon.co.uk: Barbara Taylor, Jen Green, John Farndon, Ma

The More Complete Chondro: The bestselling manual for all Green Tree Python keepers: Amazon.co.uk: Greg Maxwell: Books

Boas, Rosy and Ground: Amazon.co.uk: Jerry G. Walls: Books

The Care of Reptiles and Amphibians in Captivity: Amazon.co.uk: Christopher Mattison: Books

Reptiles and Amphibians of Britain and Europe Collins Field Guide: Amazon.co.uk: Nick Arnold, Denys Ovenden: Books

The New Encyclopedia of Reptiles and Amphibians: Amazon.co.uk: Tim Halliday, Kraig Adler: Books

also if your able to get backdated copies of "International Herpetological Symposium" booklets then these are full of breeder tips and hints that arent made public in alot of book, but there hard to track down due to them being published through a USA herp group

I've got a few alright books in my collection.
I have a small but interesting book on reptile health, it's called What's Wrong With My Snake by two authors with the surname Rossi. There's another one called Reptile and Amphibian Parasites by Eric Rundquist.
Also the two volumes of Reptile Care by Frederic L Frye are good, interesting reads.
Another great book is Snakes: The Evolution of Mystery in Nature by Harry W Greene, it's an excellent book and pretty chunky too.
If you're particularly interested in Rattlesnakes there's Rattler! A Natural History of Rattlesnakes by Chris Mattison.
There's also an excellent book by Phillipe De Vosjoli called The Art of Keeping Snakes.
