Default rack builders

hi,

i am looking to have a rack built in the new year, only problem i have is finding someone to build it!

i have consulted a few joiners but they are very reluctant to build this for me, does anyone know of anyone that would build to specifications and is reasonably priced?

thanks!!

If you were closer i could put you in touch with a brilliant guy right now.

What you do need to remember is you have to pay for their time and labour as well as the materials so it may not be so cheap.

In my shed i have 3 racks of 2 wide and 5 high and 3 racks of 2 wide 4 high this cost me £800 and i still had to buy boxes and mats myself, however that is becuase it's my guys labour, time, materials etc but the racks are custom made and are PERFECT and there's big holes in the racks so heatmat plug can be threaded through with plugs attached as most if not all come sealed now.

i have a friend who bought a stack from ikea, it was abt 30quid, it was basically a bookshelf sort of thing with six slots in which 33ltr RUBs fit nicely, all he had to do was drill a few holes and put a back on it and abviously wire all the heat mats up, all in all theres about 200 quids worth with RUBs mats and stats.

Yep like I said I bought boxes and mays myself and have stats spare anyway but the carcasses were that. More expensive than if we'd done it ourselves but he knows what he's doing and they're perfect so worth every penny.

Thumbs up

Lanzo herps in Germany do a great racking system and because they are not made from wood but a PVC material they will last a lifetime.

They are reasonably priced but the downside is that they are in Germany so you either have to have it shipped over or collect.
