Couldnt care if their a member, but the ad is selling the snake with uv & starter, doesnt mention in ad, that uv & starter are not required.
When I responded to the ad regarding uv. All I got was abuse & swearing, if your interested in that then il post it up.

But hey man if your on this forum, do show yourself, cos all I was doing was giving some friendly advice, They reside in Hornchurch Essex, so you know who you are ?????

Snakes do NOT require uv lighting, in fact snakes do not require any lighting what so ever.. All Royals need is plenty hiding places, lots greenery Heat mat thermostat. Feed once a week thats it. Oh and water bowl so they can bathe in. Hope this helps.

to be fair, if i had someone nosing into my sale like that id probably react, he selling it, he doesnt need advice on how to keep it, he certainly wasnt asking for any, when you get a reply to something youre selling its exciting, you could be making a sale, imagine opening your email to read that! he probably over reacted a bit and the swearing wasnt all that necessary but a classified ad ISNT a request for misguided help.
There is something to be said for the keyboard culture, everyone feels compelled to have their say, thats what forums are for, not classified sites, some people purposely stay away form advertising on forums purely because they cant be bothered with discussions about their sale that inevitably come on a forum.

Crickey I wouldnt buy it if it was me, the snake doesnt require uv, its a royal he needs to be in the dark not in the light, royals tend to hide during the day & come out as & when if food passes them by. Ah well glad I dont use uv for my royals.

And no I wasnt nosing around im into royals already have a fair lot. So how is looking at an ad being nosey

If you had worded your first email to him slightly better he might not have reacted in the way he did.

Also, rather than replying the way you did to his response, I would have either ignored it, or simply put that I was only concerned about the welfare of the snake as lighting and UV isn't needed and could lead to problems.

It doesnt say what level u.v, maybe its a 2.0, no big deal, im not saying he should use u.v but its in his viv and thats what hes advertising.
looking at the ad isnt nosing, contacting the seller when its nothing to do with purchasing his item and merely to give opinion when its not been requested is nosing.
If the u.v puts you off then thats your decision, im sure hes not interested in reasons you dont want to buy his snake.
